The Story
Keeping the Great Outdoors, Outside.
It all started with a simple problem and a very expensive quote.
Living the beach life is a dream, but the reality involves a never-ending battle against sand. It gets into the rugs, the floorboards, and somehow, always into the bed. When we looked into installing a permanent outdoor foot wash at our place, we were hit with a $3,500 plumbing estimate.
That was the "there has to be a better way" moment. We didn’t need a massive construction project; we just needed a smart, elegant way to rinse off before stepping inside.
Beyond the "Gross Bucket"
Before we built the Foot Fountain, we tried the old-school solutions. We tried the plastic tubs and buckets of water by the door, but it didn't take long to realize how flawed that was. After the first person steps in, the water is murky; by the third person, you're basically just stepping into a bucket of mud.
Worse yet, if you head out for a week and forget to dump it, you'll return to find a "new life form" growing in there. We wanted a solution that was sanitary and maintenance-free. The Foot Fountain provides a fresh, clean rinse every single time with a 30-second auto-shutoff, so there’s no standing water and nothing to scrub out.
The Perfect Poolside Companion
As we shared the prototype with friends, we realized the beach was only half the story. If you have a pool, you know the struggle of the "grass trail." Kids run from the yard into the water, bringing half the lawn with them, which ruins the filter and makes the pool floor a mess. By placing the Foot Fountain at the pool gate or on the patio, you stop the grass and dirt in its tracks. It keeps the pool water crystal clear and, more importantly, keeps that wet, grassy mess from being tracked back into the house.
From Sandy Toes to Muddy Paws
We engineered the Foot Fountain to be everything the expensive plumbing wasn’t: affordable, easy to set up in minutes, and built with a sleek, architectural look that complements your home.
But once we had the first prototype on the porch, we realized it wasn't just for the beach or the pool. Living in Michigan, we deal with more than just sand—we deal with the "muddy paw patrol." We found that the Foot Fountain was a total lifesaver for our dogs. Instead of the usual chaos of juggling towels and chasing a muddy pup through the house, a quick rinse on the deck meant the mud stayed outside, and our floors stayed pristine.
From sandy toes to muddy paws, the Foot Fountain was born out of a necessity for cleanliness and a refusal to settle for a gross bucket. We’re proud to share it with you, so you can spend less time cleaning your floors and more time enjoying your home.
